Abstract
Abstract: Focusing on the complex of the wave model and the poor performance of real-time in the large-scale coastal water visualization, a new method based on adaptive optimization for coastal water rendering in real-time was proposed. By introducing the automatic merging algorithm, the complex wave model could be constructed. According to the collision detection technology, the water mesh could be adaptively optimized. In order to improve the realistic, a noise was added to the water surface. The foam and reflection were realized by applying the dynamic texture mapping technology. The experimental results show that the generated coastal water has higher fidelity and can meet the requirement of real-time.
