Abstract
Abstract: In order to save the fire fighting training resources and increase the immersion and experience of VR training, an interactive simulated water gun fire fighting training system based on Steam VR is designed. By using the Hall sensors and signal conversion circuit boards to collect and transmit the signal of the simulated water gun, and by using the Unity3D engine combined with the VIVE head-mounted display to build and present VR fire scene. The gun is controlled through C# programming to complete the interaction with the virtual fire scene. The system is evaluated by a post-questionnaire survey and the result shows that for the interactive training, the trainees' sense of immersion and experience can be greatly improved by the simulated water gun instead of the VIVE handle controller.
